Happy AYB Day 5!

Yeah, I guess we can call it that. I've been moderately addicted to the AYB song, and seeing a new version of the movie with even more of edited pictures and comic strips (Calvin & Hobbes, lol) was enjoyable. Nice job on the sprite edit in the intro scene.

Good luck finding all the Easter Eggs.

Happy AYB Day to you too ^^

Better late than never

Fun animation. I did like the "narrator talks to the silent characters" old-school approach. "I hope you're pleased with yourself, you f***ing bastard!" LOL

The animation could have used some more eye candy. A background wouldn't have hurt, and it looked as Tree was merely tapping the dog's head slightly.

Good movie overall. I was laughing.

Nice

All hail YoyoClock.

This movie is not bad, but it looks as if you've been lazy on that one and just submitted a first draft instead of a finished product. The voice acting was a nice change from Speakonia, but it sounds like Tree's tired rather than enraged. Also, taking the battle off-screen never really worked out for me.

But there are good points. The plot idea is nice and works well in this short, and I like how the sun reacts to the scene beneath him. Oh well, when you have all your time, you can do great stuff, so don't give up.

<3 for you.

Not the best, but...

Not a bad entry for Corpsegrinder's contest either. It could be improved.

I liked how you drew the dog. It looked like a complete doofus and I'd have the urge to beat it too. The subtitles were funny to look at, with all the mistakes that seem to tell how twisted Tree is in his brain. The hole-in-one joke was well thought and pretty original.

My only complaint, overall, is the ending music. WHY, OH WHY, DID YOU HAVE TO BRING THOSE ANNOYING RODENTS BACK FROM THEIR GRAVES? WAAUGH!!!

Oh well. Be a good Clock and make more people happy with your wonderful Flash movies.

BeatnikClock responds:

Tree is no annoying rodent.

Sweet job, there.

That dog got what was coming at it. Good entry for the contest.

The setting is quite interresting. All those Clocks playing and fuc... having fun made quite a happy ambiance for the movie, all combined with the silly music. Tree didn't beat the puppy, though. He predicted the future.

You did a great job. Hope to see more of your stuff.

ForkClock responds:

Why thank you kindly fellow clock! Im glad that you liked it. Actually,I reviewed your submission just a few minutes ago. You do VERY nice fbf by the way.

Might be the best of them.

Awesome entry for Corpse's contest.

The graphics, the mood, the action. All for a very serious puppy-trashing movie. The voice acting carried out Tree's hatred for the animal really well. And then the movie moves on to an ending worthy of the Clocks.

Great movie overall. I have no complaints.

CrustClock responds:

I enjoyed your movie also, thanks a lot for the review. Good luck getting clockified.

Short, funny, and to the point

That contest holds lots of surprizes, and you're a big one.

For a first submission, this is great. The "Film noir" intro gave a pretty gloomy mood to the movie, making us expecting something really awful to happen to this poor dog, and then the end arrives and I just had to laugh how you turned it into something that's just plain funny.

Keep on the good work for the Clock Crew. You have a great start.

Good boy!

Well, this has to be the entry you were eager to submit. Impressive addition to this contest.

The graphics are exquisite. Very nice modeling. Your choice of music is good. I just wish there would be more to the animation. For a moment I thought it was going to loop infinitely, until the "To be continued" screen appeared.

Another picture of the dog with its leg raised for when he pisses could have made quite a difference in the animation.

But nevermind my bragging. You're still a great artist, and I drink my bottle of Uncle WaterLock's Drinking Water for your success. Cheers.

Freaking funny

Great job, Skeletal Clock. And a nice entry for Corpsegrinder's contest.

Presenting the beating through a "news bulletin" format was an original idea. Adding a "Newsflash" music would have been nice, there. I laughed how TreeClock kept bragging on how no one was watching him, compeltely oblivious of the camera, then when he spots it, he attacks, just to show how wicked he is.

I liked how the little talking hands were replaced by things associated to their Clocks (a bone for Skeletal and a leaf for Tree).

Great job. <3 for j00!

smackhouse responds:

<3 thanks a laooood. i look forward to posting with you on the BBS :D

Unexpected but good.

Very good Flash from you, Corpsegrinder. This contest of yours is a great success.

Actually, I expected something more morbid coming from you, but the pixelated sprite animation is well executed. It's good to try new things, and better when you're succesful at it.

My only complaint is that the puppy should have reacted more to the hits than just producing a coin sound. Maybe giving him a hurt expression or making him cry would have helped. Watching him taking the hits smiling was funny, but a bit of editing would have enforced his "you hurt my feelings" speech later on.

Good job, overall. Keep 'em coming.

CorpseGrinderClock responds:

But the coin sound is funneh....

ph33r me! I chop down stuff with my knievs.
